The table above is an example of an extending dining table with a removeable curved centre leaf.

It is made in "cat's paw" Oak and shows exciting grain detail.

Because the grain is so wild it is quite common to have splits and shakes in the wood. Here a butterfly wedge made from Partridge Wood is inserted to stop a split from spreading.

The frame tenon joints are square pegged, again with Partridge Wood, to give an elegant, Arts & Crafts style to the piece.

A table of this style would cost between £700 and £1200.
Washstand
Here is an example of a beautiful bathroom washstand with a modern ceramic basin mounted on it. The waste and water pipes are hidden out of site behind a dummy drawer front. The right hand side is a normal drawer.

The top is made from "pippy" Oak with a curved piece of Black Walnut blended into the front edge.

The washstand, like most of my other furniture, is treated with a satin finish lacquer which is water and heat proof, yet allows the wood to breathe.
This washtand would cost £650.
